Absolute cheek, the landlord is the bottom drawer. Very sagging and rude to his guests. This is how you can run a shop down. I really feel sorry for the staff.

The 2 stars are for the view 👍👍 The service was in a very bad mood 😠 we ordered coffee and cappuccino at 3:00 p.m. I wasn't sure whether I wanted cake and said to her: I'll probably order cake a little later. Thereupon the waitress said rather snuggly: "In 1 1/2 hours it will start to rain heavily" 🤔🥺. My companion and I looked at each other blankly ... I'm not the only one who noticed the service very rude !!!!!! It actually started to rain - but sooo little that a ☂ wasn't even necessary. She brought us the bill - unsolicited - and said we will close the bill now and here 😗🤑. We paid and we agree we won't be going back anytime soon. The waitress also very rudely pointed out to visitors who came after us that there is no longer any service. That was between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. ... It is also worth mentioning: At the entrance there was a sign saying that it will be closed on August 26th and 27th !!! Today is the 25.08. and according to GoggleMaps open until late in the evening 🥺 I also think the prices for the food are overpriced for such a "simple" location. And under the white tent there were innumerable flies, spiders and cobwebs 🙄😞 on the ceiling

This view from this cafe is just perfect. Right on the water so you can watch the sailboats go by! Smallish menu but the schnitzel was delicious!

A wonderful view over the Alster directly on the water, which is noticeable in the prices. Cake and cocoa were delicious, the service could be friendlier, but everything came very quickly.

Nice café in one of the best locations in Hamburg ... Especially when there are a few more people, the contact can be a bit fleeting, but that is completely understandable with the rush of visitors. Nevertheless, a visit is highly recommended ... The view is simply great ... And inside it is also pleasant for skin type 0. Unfortunately, card payments are not very popular, hence 1 star deduction. but the cook (boss?) has just taken extra time to deal with the (quite complex) dietary restrictions of a guest ... and super nice and understanding ... exemplary! Therefore again 5 stars. 😊

Beautiful view of the Alster and the city center! We had a pleasant place, were served very friendly and quickly. With such a great location, this is not a matter of course. Thank you, we will be back!

Great view, large, delicious kitchen items. Coffee was a bit weak. Exciting with your own kayak was allowed and welcome in the adjacent yacht club, thanks for that, unfortunately it is not a matter of course on the Alster ...

With a great view you sit here perfectly. Food is great, portions are plentiful and the team is a special highlight. Friendly, attentive and quick.

The view is not worth the rude treatment. Never seen anything like this. Get yourself a beer and sit litetally anywhere in the park, the view is even better!

Super unfriendly staff, dirty tables, cobwebs hang everywhere with 1,000 dead flies in it. Ask for € 4.00 for the Alster 0.3l, and then mix cheap lemonade with a freeway. Never again.

Absolutely disgusted by the two women who were serving. They were rude and offensive and I’ve never experienced such bad behaviour in a cafe in Germany before. Avoid it.

A real insider tip! In the afternoon you can sit in the sunshine. Nice staff, delicious iced coffee and an unbelievably beautiful panorama of Hamburg. There is a lot to see - sailors, paddlers or even Udo Lindenberg!

Service incredibly impolite... Asking for an extra plate and just got made fun of, that I should talk in German (instead of Austrian) - what a service is this?! Later getting into a dispute. Food and drinks are expensive and just ok for the price taking the nice view into account... If you ask for a table reservation outside, ensure not to get put into the ugly white pavilion with plastic foiled windows - view is thereby screwed...better places with better moods are around.

Directly on the Alster is the small café, very nicely furnished with a small tent with you when it gets a bit windy. It’s okay, the people are very friendly and the café and cakes are very nice. You can also pay by card from 20 €. You also have a great view of the Alster and the beautiful houses, you can just make out the Elfi.

Sit outside for the full effect. A good glass of wine, simple but decent food and a view over the lake. Hard to beat in good weather

Appalling service with the staff clearly ignorant !! When I politely asked for service I was treated as an inconvenience ....also possibly the worst coffee on earth (mud in water!)

A really great view. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. Have only had coffee there, but next time we visit Hamburg we will also try the food (would be highly recommended from the next table).
